Jeffco Action Center's Tenant / Landlord Counseling is a non-profit program where experienced and qualified individuals offer call-in service concerning tenant or landlord rights and obligations under Colorado law. The Office has operated for several years as an important part of Jeffco Action Center, Inc., and has helped countless clients to gain assistance on tenant landlord problems. There is no charge or fee. The office is not a law firm nor a substitute for professional representation,
but we do offer assistance with a variety of questions concerning tenants
and landlords The office assists all callers or visitors, especially lower
income tenants, as well as newcomers to Colorado, and smaller or first
time landlords. Last year, there were 2,477 cases that required no follow-up and 137 new cases requiring additional assistance.
Where Can We Be Reached? Counselors take calls Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. If all counselors are on the phone or it is outside normal business hours, callers can leave a message. All calls after hours will be returned during business hours the following business day. While the office welcomes phone calls from anywhere within the state of Colorado, we cannot accept reverse charge calls, nor can we return long distance toll calls.
